DID YOU SERVE WITH M.U.R.?

THE MELBOURNE UNIVERSITY REGIMENT, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA.

I have been unable to find a site for ex members of the Melbourne University Regiment, so I thought I would put together some history of my time in the regiment and hopefully find other ex members who will contribute their memories, pictures, etc. to the site. I served with the MUR from early 1964 to late 1967. Now that you have found this site please contribute something to make it grow, or contact me just to acknowledge that you were in the Regiment. Please contact me on the email link below.

Bruce M. McCullough, Auckland, NZ.

"Terrific" is how 150 officers and men of the Melbourne University Regiment described helicopters used by the regiment for the first time during a fortnights camp at Puckapunyal. The RAAF provided two Iroquois helicopters, each capable of carrying seven men for tactical exercises. "The Age" Newspaper, Wednesday, January 20, 1965.
